Travellers walk on a floor that has been littered with pieces of paper
strewn by cleaning staff who protested at Barcelona's airport on May
30, 2012. Cleaning staff working for a company who have a contract with
the airport demonstrated against pay and benefits cuts made by their
employer.
The cleaners' strike has brought chaos to El Prat Airport in Barcelona - more than 200 workers have stopped clearing the terminal. The Spanish Airports Authority said that it is making an effort to solve the situation. |
