Naked man boards their bus

She was on her way to watch a getai performance, but the 35-year-old civil servant ended up being forced to watch quite a different show.

A man who appeared to be completely naked was walking along the pedestrian walkway leading towards a bus stop along Ang Mo Kio Ave 3.
On reaching the bus stop, he paced back and forth.

The man - who looked to be in his 40s - eventually boarded a bus.
Shin Min Daily News reported that he took the bus to Paya Lebar Road, where he alighted. The police have since arrested the man.
Madam Esca Ng said she had been on SBS bus service 25 at about 6pm on Monday when she first saw the man.

He was at the bus stop on the opposite side of the road, in front of Block 554, Serangoon North Ave 3.
The sight of a seemingly totally naked man in public so shocked Madam Ng that she could not believe her eyes at first.

Her first thought was, "Did I see wrongly?", she told The New Paper yesterday.
She said the man, who was initially facing her way, had a coat of what appeared to be white paint on his genitals.
She initially mistook the paint for clothing, but later, when the man turned around, revealing bare buttocks, she realised he must have been naked.
Madam Ng described the man as "skinny" and with "short hair". She said he had been barefoot. Madam Ng said the bus stop had 10 to 15 people, all adults, who had just got off a bus moments earlier.
Many walked away from the man before turning back to look, she added.
The mother of two then decided to call the police.

But Madam Ng was so troubled by what she saw that she later took a bus back to look for the man, so that she could help the police keep an eye on him.
"I didn't want my call to be seen as a prank call so I took a bus back. If I find him, I can 'eyeball' him for the police," Madam Ng said.
But by then, the man was nowhere to be seen.
Madam Ng said a man sitting at a void deck nearby told her the naked man had boarded a bus.
According to Shin Min Daily News, it was SBS bus service 76 and he had alighted along Paya Lebar Road.
Wandered around
The Chinese daily reported that the naked man continued to wander along pedestrian walkways and even in the vicinity of the Geylang Neighbourhood Police Centre.
Said Madam Ng: "How could he even board the bus? It was during the peak hour, how did the other passengers react?"

When contacted, an SBS spokesman said that the man had rushed into the bus.
"The bus driver did what he was supposed to do and alerted the operation control centre, which called the police," the spokesman added.
The police said it received a call at about 6.25pm informing them that a man was seen naked along Paya Lebar Road.
Investigations are ongoing.
