Chinese driver leaves behind trail of destruction to escape police

A security camera mounted on an overhead bridge recorded in action a motorist who crashed into everything while trying to escape the police.
The incident took place in Meizhou, Guangdong, on a busy road during the rush hour, according to a report on shanghaiist, a blog on China.
A police officer attempted to stop a car with an obscured licence plate. However the driver refused to stop and drove ahead.

According to the video footage, the officer chased after the offending car on foot and caught up with it when other cars ahead blocked its way. The car suddenly reversed when the officer tried to open the driver's door. In the process, the driver hit a motorcyclist and almost rolled over the bike.
It then powered ahead, escaping through a gap between traffic before crashing into another bottleneck. The impact caused the car's bonnet to pop.
But that was not all. The driver repeatedly crashed into a lorry that was blocking its way, attempting to force its way through.
Failing to do so, the driver reversed at high speed, crashing into a small truck.
The car then tried to escape into another road, crashing into more vehicles with no regard for other people's property.
In the end, the driver was forcibly removed from the car by a crowd of police and passers-bys, the report said.
