Apple's Siri can now start your car engine

How far can Siri, Apple's voice-recognition software, go?
Developer Brandon Fiquett has managed to configure Siri to start the engine of his car without him actually getting into the car, according to reports.
Fiquett hooked up his Viper Car SmartStart, an in-car security system, to a proxy server which allowed him to control certain functions using voice-recognition.

Through Siri, Fiquett can get his car to perform a few simple commands. The developer cited on his blog examples such as arming his Acura's security system, starting the engine, opening the boot or locking the car. According to what Fiquett wrote on his YouTube page (see video below), "the command is sent from Siri to a Viper server, then relayed via cellular connection to the car.
