A GLOBAL poll has named the world's new seven wonders of nature, with Vietnam's Halong Bay and South Korea's Jeju Island among the initial list of winners. Organised by Swiss foundation New7Wonders, the poll saw an initial list of 440 nominees trimmed down to 28 finalists, who were put through a final phase of worldwide voting. The provisional results, which will be confirmed in early 2012, were announced on Nov 11. We present, in photos, the list of seven winners and the 21 other finalists:
